IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) exists to keep the quality of education at the campus under continuous review. Its purpose is to promote quality in teaching and learning, strengthen internal processes, keep institutional planning consistent from year to year, and make sure decisions are based on evidence rather than assumption.

• Enhance academic standards across all programmes offered by the campus.
• Monitor whether approved policies and plans are being implemented.
• Support the professional development of faculty and administrative staff.
• Encourage research, extension and community engagement.
• Maintain the records and evidence required for accreditation.

The cell is chaired by the Campus Chief and coordinated by the IQAC Coordinator. Its membership brings together senior faculty, administrative representatives, the Campus Management Committee, the student quality circle and representatives of the wider community, so that quality is reviewed from more than one point of view.

• Monitor curriculum delivery against the academic calendar and teaching plan.
• Review teaching practice and internal assessment results.
• Coordinate the preparation and safekeeping of institutional documentation.
• Recommend corrective action to the Campus Chief and Management Committee.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across departments.

• Internal audit of academic and administrative processes.
• Monitoring of student support services, scholarships and quota provisions.
• Faculty development programmes, orientation and subject-wise workshops.
• Periodic review of campus policies and their revision where required.

The cell maintains the annual report of the campus, the academic calendar, internal assessment and examination data, and the minutes of its own meetings. These records form the evidence base for the Self Study Report and for any external review.

Quality assurance is not the work of one committee alone. The cell collects feedback from students, faculty, administrative staff, guardians, alumni and the Management Committee, and uses it in its reviews. The Student Quality Circle represents student concerns directly within the cell.
